SDAFF 2009: Spotlight on the Festival Bible

This year’s program booklet, aka the festival bible, is designed by Marilyn Jones, and let me tell you, it is AMAZING. It just came in this week and this program booklet has everything you need to know about the festival; from the schedule of when and where everything is, to detailed descriptions of all our movies and events, to a list of our sponsors and members, to instructions on how to festival, to a history of the festival and everything in between. The bible is also extremely useful as an autograph booklet. There are TONS of pictures; I’d say 90% of the booklet is in color, and with the festival lasting two weeks and directors, filmmakers, celebrities, etc coming, you have a really good chance of filling up the pages and blank spaces.

Finally, a lot of love and hard work went into the making of this program book and I’d like to acknowledge the people who created it, from the designer (Marilyn Jones), to the staff who wrote descriptions—every single page was written by someone and that someone put a lot of time and effort into it—(Lee Ann Kim, Mye Hoang, Phillip Luque, Michael Chen, Sam Chen, Gene Huh, Anderson Le, Jimmy Lee, Jennifer Lo, Jini Shim, Cypress Villaflores), to the editor and those who proofed and re-proofed and re-proofed again to minimize errors (Arnold Maquez), to the Office of County Supervisor Ron Roberts for sponsoring the booklet, and of course, to Eunsung Printing (I’m extremely sorry if I missed anyone, please let me know and I will correct that immediately). If you see any of these people, especially Marilyn, make sure you say THANK YOU [also talk to her if you want to hire her for your own projects ;) hehe].

Here is the digital copy of the bible.
