The 2011 San Diego Lantern Festival founded and presented by the Little Saigon Foundation starts today (08/26) and runs through the weekend (08/28). Admission is $5.
There are plenty of activities going on at this year's Lantern Festival which include a Kid's Talent Contest, Street Performers, Live Music, Lion Dance Demonstrations, and Carnival Rides. The main event of the festival will be the crowning of Miss Asia San Diego. There will also be some notable food trucks (Devilicious, Asian Persuasion, Food Farm, Mangia Mangia, Super Q, Two for the Road) selling their delicious cuisine all weekend.
