Lately here at the Foundation, we have found it necessary to acquire films for the SDAFF Library. This library is important as it will serve as a record of not only the films that we have screened at the Festival, but also as a Library that traces significant films from Asian and Asian American filmmakers.
Our intern Mindy Lee has become the "Ari Gold" of this project stopping at no cost to get these films into our shelves.
Using parts of classic Asian charm, part aggressive negotiation techniques,
and all sorts of research, Mindy has found a way to acquire films that are hard to find.
So congrats to Mindy for doing this very important and awesome task! You rock!

Haha! Go Mindy! :) More movies in the library is always good. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a fairly sizable collection of Asian films (Dvds) that I could contribute. Many are Region 2 and 3, obtained from their country of origin. Let me know if you are interested.
