During the festival's gala awards dinner on October 23, the SDAFF will present actor Daniel Dae Kim with the Influential Asian American Artist award."There are very few actors, not to mention Asian American actors, who have the privilege of starring in back-to-back popular television series like Daniel Dae Kim," says San Diego Asian Film Foundation executive director, Lee Ann Kim. "Through his groundbreaking role on Lost and now his role on Hawaii Five-0, he has opened and continues to open doors for other Asian American artists. He also serves as a role model off-camera as an advocate for Asian American issues and a devoted father. We are grateful he is joining us to accept this award."
